After 15 unbelievable years in Greenwich Village, we have to say goodbye and thank you for making Mr. Dennehy’s your local pub.
Our lease is up and the rising rents prohibit us from continuing.
The great memories and friendships made are making this extremely difficult to write.
In a lot of ways it’s like an Irish wake, and that’s exactly how we should celebrate.
In the next three weeks we will raise a parting glass to the most loyal, hardest working staff in the game.
We will salute the purveyors who delivered our supplies over the years.
But most of all we will thank you, the patrons.
We have a lot of memories and stories to recall and I can’t think of a better venue to reminisce in, than an Irish Pub.
There are so many people to thank, it’s overwhelming.
Rather than leave anyone out, I would prefer to thank everyone and hope to see you in person from now until the end of March.
In the meantime, keep in touch on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
You never know where our door may open next.
On behalf of Lillian, Niall, Emma and the rest of the Dennehy Family,
please know how grateful we are for your support and friendship.
It’s been an honour and a privilege.
Regards and love to all.
Donal.
